Chicks at Little Learners
What a week we have had at Little Learners Preschool,
We introduced the concept of the life cycle of a chicken to our Little Learners who got to witness the hatching process and arrival of some lovely fluffy friends. We are lucky enough to have had 5 hatch safely so far we the hope of a couple more joining our chick family
Teaching preschoolers about life cycles offers numerous benefits, including nurturing a love for nature, boosting cognitive skills, and developing empathy and respect for living things. It also helps children understand their own growth and development, making them more aware of the world around them.
Our chicks and related activities provides a variety of learning opportunities that can enhance children’s knowledge, skills, and understanding across different areas of the EYFS curriculum. By engaging with real-life experiences and hands-on activities, children can develop a deeper understanding whilst building connections to link past and present learning opportunities.
What an amazing unforgettable experience for us all.

VE Day 80th Celebrations
We had the most wonderful afternoon celebrating VE Day at Little Learners Pre School !!
Thank you to all our Little Learners and their families for making this such a special afternoon. What a wonderful turn out we had, thank you for the support.
Teaching early years children about VE Day is important for several reasons. It’s a key historical event that shaped the world, and understanding it can help children develop a sense of history and their place in it. VE Day also provides opportunities to explore themes of celebration, remembrance, and the impact of conflict, fostering empathy and social understanding.

We’ve have partnered with Essex County Council Library to bring the mobile library to Little Learners. The children will explore books, share stories, and you’ll have the chance to register them for the free library service.
